Wedding Vibes: Part Two

Pastel colours

As promised, the follow up post from my cousin’s recent wedding. The guests really dressed stylish for this wedding, both women and men. Below are some of the outfits / trends that caught my eye.

Look one: I absolutely love it when a guy wears a bow tie and this gentleman matched it with a pocket-chiff and funky socks (all from Fabiani). To complete the look, he had a black Polo suit and a white Pringle shirt. Elegant with a touch of funky – I mean a guy has to look stylish too.

Look two: This guy (my man) opted for a more casual look with a jeans and stylish shirt – which was great for a Tuesday wedding. Men’s clothes are so costly – so getting something practical was ideal, at least he can rock the shirt to work and the jeans is an all rounder. It is a Polim Pier shirt from Lyme in Rosebank paired with a G-Star jeans. The shirt has leather cut outs with cross stitching – which gives the white shirt a different edge. The look was completed with a cream linen jacket from Stephen Cole (available at Stuttafords).

Look three: A colour that appeared often, by both men and women was Navy (which is apparently the new black). The dresses worn varied from long and short styles. The lady below wore a chiffon Navy dress (bought online at Zando) and paired with a vintage babydoll shoe (from China Mall) – how cute!

Look four: I love summer weddings, the weather was typical – showers of rain and the day ended with sunshine. Like the weather, the clothes reflected in all the pastel colours – ranging from peaches, light purple, mint green, blues, pinks and oranges. The bridesmaids wore stunning Tiffany blue dresses which photographed perfectly and the best-men matched accordingly.

Look five: A trend was prints and florals. Women used it as part of the outfit matched with a solid colour or wore flowy dresses. Either way, it looked stunning. Prints are huge this season, as it is used by Versace & Roberto Cavalli in their SS15 looks.

According to www.elegantweddinginvites.com we’ll see the increasing of misted colors in 2015 like periwinkle, neutral colors and powder colors, together with some layers of red and pink. There are also some new color combinations – I am attracted to the royal blue & kelly green combo. I would definitely check out the website for further wedding inspiration.
