There are so many people achieving their dreams and living life to the fullest that I ponder… What drives people to succeed? So much so that I decided to expand my blog by introducing a new feature called: Online with… This feature will focus on people I find inspiring, fascinating and tenacious. It will delve into what drives them to victory and flourish, their journey to success and as well as some personal details about them.
I kick-start this new edition with a successful person I know personally. Ensly Dooms, a young entrepreneur, avid traveller, blogger, music lover, Malcolm X look-a-like and Social Media Lead at Ford SA. He has overcome various obstacles growing up in Eldorado Park and did not allow his surroundings to hamper his drive to succeed. Also know as Urban Enzo, he has already launched his own earphone ranged, Gold Khromo by Urban Enzo, has been featured in Destiny Man and interviewed on numerous TV and radio stations.
What I find fascinating about Ensly is that he loves to travel solo and created his own #SideSelfieSeries, documenting his global travels.
C25: Tell me more about your lone traveller
Enzo: I started #AdventuresOfTheLoneBoyTraveller three years back when I just started traveling the world. It was the first time seeing most of the countries I visited and I thought that it would be perfect to document my adventures. I used social media to capture my experiences and also my blog. I’ve started a trend called #SideSelfieSeries, whereby I take a side shot of myself at popular landmarks around the world. I am still building my collection of images and have already taken SideSelfieSeries shots at 21 various locations across the globe.
C25: What’s your most memorable trip and list places on your bucket list?
Enzo: Traveling to Los Angeles. I flew business class on a A380 and it was an amazing experience. I attended the BET Awards and I felt like a celeb as I was on the red carpet and was sitting with the stars. I would love to visit New York and I have it planned as my city of choice for my birthday trip in 2016.
c25: Why launch an earphone range?
Enzo: Having my own earphone range has been a dream in the pipeline for the last two years. I have always been critical as to how I want music to sound, from the clarity to the bass and to the design – but I could not find one that matched my requirements so I designed my own. The lightweight Gold Khromo offers superb sound quality at every frequency and has a premium design to match, with the music conduction rate close to perfect at 99.9998%.
C25: What is your fondest childhood memory?
Enzo: It would have to be when i did my first tv ad. I enjoyed seeing myself on tv at the time.
C25: Favourite food?
I love tuna. Give me anything with tuna and then I am good. I also enjoy a really good chicken liver dish.
C25: Goals for the next 10 years?
I plan to extend my earphone range. I create my own earphones and headphones. I want to travel more and hopefully live in a new city for a year. I also plan to dabble in more business ventures
